Overview
GradStaff offers outsourced college recruiting services and helps clients fill entry-level positions. Challenge
GradStaff has 6 offices throughout the U.S., and they have plans for substantial growth in the future. Entering 2009, their existing hardware and software was barely adequate to support existing operations. System performance was poor. They had 6 separate networks in their 6 offices, each with separate installs of ACT 6.0 and separate databases that needed to be maintained and synchronized. It was apparent that substantial upgrades in hardware and software would be necessary to support additional growth.
 
Bob LaBombard, CEO of GradStaff, consulted with Bill Hafdal, Solbrekk Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Bob and Bill identified the key issues and looked at alternatives.

Solution
GradStaff selected the Solbrekk/Netgain desktop and application hosting solution. Their desktop and applications are hosted on servers in the Netgain data center. GradStaff employees now remotely access all software applications via the Internet.
 
Bill said, “The hosted solution gives them one network. This has allowed them to consolidate their ACT databases into one database, and also allowed them to upgrade to the latest version of ACT for all employees. Some of the key drivers were the minimal upfront capital investment, full time help desk support, disaster recovery is no longer a concern, and they have one database that is highly available, fully managed, and in a secure environment.”
