Challenge
Mary Magnuson, Controller, is responsible for the IT network at Sebrite. They have about 15 users on their network. Mary is not a technical person, so she needed a reliable and cost effective outsourced IT service and solution provider that she could trust and rely on. It was also important to her to find someone that understands the insurance industry, because it is an industry that is ever-changing and requires effective planning.
Solution
Becky Jacobs, Solbrekk Sr. Account Executive, has been providing IT network solutions to Sebrite for over 10 years. Becky worked in the insurance industry for a number of years before going into the IT technology business. Jim Marxer, Solbrekk Sr. Network Engineer, provides Sebrite with monthly recurring scheduled visits and proactive services. In 2005 Becky and Jim planned and designed a network upgrade for Sebrite. Jim installed a new file server and a new terminal server. He also installed a thin client solution for local and remote access. Sebrite was able to save money by converting some of their older workstations to thin clients. In 2007 Mary asked Becky for assistance with their voice and data communications needs. Becky referred Mary to a provider in the Solbrekk Eco-System, and she has been very happy with the service they have received.
