Every year, the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce features a few extraordinary people. Pioneers who have left the security of established companies to start and run their own business enterprises.

 

This year, Solbrekk’s President, Steve Solbrack, was one of the three finalists TwinWest honored.

Steve was chosen from among countless entrepreneurs who started a successful business five years ago or more and who earn $100 million or less in annual revenue.

It was his business strategies, financial success and commitment to community involvement that made Steve and Solbrekk stand out.

When interviewed for his feature article in TwinWest’s Directions magazine, Steve credits his great management team, his employees and his customers with his success. “I really appreciate and respect the team of employees we have and enjoy coming to work every day,” he says. “We have so many great customers with many long-term relationships.”

Steve was honored at the annual Small Business Awards Luncheon on May 24, where attendees got a glimpse inside the heart of Solbrekk through a touching video tribute.

Solbrekk offers sincere congratulations to the other finalist, Keith Schoolcraft, and to this year’s winner, Scott Seiler.

For all entrepreneurs, at any part of the process, Steve offers this advice: “Focus on customers, employees, shareholders and then yourself, in that order of importance.”

This is what Solbrekk has done since its inception and will continue to do in the years to come.
